The Display

One of the most important aspects of a jewelry party (or any party plan
business party for that matter) is how you display your product. A
Jewelry party catalog is great to browse through but you need to have
jewelry party product on hand for customers to touch, look at, and
envision themselves wearing! How should your jewelry party display
look? First, start with a beautiful and elegant table cloth. You can
drape the cloth over the coffee table (preferable) at the jewelry party
host's home. Choose a mild, elegant pattern, maybe a silky material. I
had numerous comments on a crème silk material I used as my display
cloth; it was elegant and brought a great atmosphere to the party. Do
not use any material too wild or busy because it will distract from
your jewelry home party product. You can add depth to your display by
placing a few boxes under the table cloth. Turn them tall, or on their
side; make steps with the boxes and display jewelry pieces on them.
This gives you depth to your jewelry party display instead of a flat
surface for your product. The more appealing your make your jewelry
home party display the more you will appeal to the jewelry home party
guests.

One very important factor to remember when planning your Jewelry Home
Party display is you don't have to display EVERYTHING! You may bring
all the pieces you have but keep some in your car or in your bag. Why?
First off you don't want to be dragging a lot of boxes or bags into
your jewelry home party host's home. It isn't appealing to a future
consultant if you make it look like hard work. Also, you need to
beautifully display product at your jewelry parties that best applies
to your guests. Bring all the hot items and bring hostess reward pieces
(depending on how your program works). Display nicely the most relevant
pieces at the jewelry home party and keep others on hand just incase
someone asks, "Do you have this necklace I could see?"

Starting your jewelry home party with an elegant display gives you a
leg up on the competition and a great start for high sales. Best of

Jewelry Party Attendance Bonus

My favorite aspect of a jewelry party is the attendance bonus. It may
not be across the board the same, but some companies have a great idea
when it comes to attendance. Here's how it works. When hosting a
jewelry home party, the hostess will want to make sure she has 10
guests in attendance.

With those 10 guests physically at the jewelry party the hostess
receives a very nice bonus or high number of ½ price items (different
per company). My sister is a jewelry party addict! She holds a
jewelry party every couple of months and always aims to have 10 guests
at her party. She tells them, "If I have 10 guests at my jewelry party
I get a great bonus. You don't even have to buy anything, you just
need to show up and hang out for the fun!" It never fails that my
sister's jewelry home party always has 10 or more guests in
attendance. What does this mean for the consultant/distributor? It
means higher sales and more bookings! Party on!

Treat your Home Party Customer Right

One thing that I find common among direct sellers like us is a,
although non-deliberate, mistreatment of our customers. By this I mean
that many of us see our customers are just dollar signs or the next
sale. While this mentality may generate immediate sales it is not a
sustainable long-term pattern.

We need to make sure that we treat our customers like people. Treat
them as you would want to be treated (or even better) and you will find
amazing things happen in your business. You will start to get repeat
party bookings, you will find that your customers, who you pamper, will
begin referring others to you and still others. I know that I
personally refer people to professionals who impress me or treat me
well.

There are many ways to go about this. One way is to send personally
deliver the products when they arrive. This allows you to have a few
minutes with your customer to see if they have any questions about
application or use of the product and how to go about it. It also gives
you the chance to mention about how long the product will last and let
them know that they should expect a courtesy call from you at that time
reminding them to reorder.

Another way to pamper your customers is to send Thank you cards. You
can send them when they initially order, when they place a re-order,
but also at spontaneous times throughout the life of the customer. If
ever you find yourself thinking about them or if you run across them at
the grocery store or on an errand drop them a quick note saying that
you were thinking about them or that it was a pleasure seeing them at
the store.

Let them know that you are always available to answer their questions,
to show them further products they may be interested in, or to help
them understand how to use what they have.

Consider this: Just around the corner there may be someone selling a
similar product as you or also holding home parties for another
product. What sets you apart? How do you increase your individual sales
and book more parties and get those attending to book a party? People
are becoming pickier because they have more choices so you have to be
the best choice. Showing your hostesses and customers how much you care
goes a long way in building a successful home party business.
